Only these steps are required for the quality inspection of high-voltage wires for automobiles

There are two types of automotive line wires: low-voltage lines and high-voltage lines. High-voltage wires are used to transmit high voltages. Due to the high working voltage (usually above 10kv) and low current intensity, the high-voltage wires have a thick insulation coating and a small core cross-sectional area, but they have good voltage resistance. TXGA automotive high-voltage wires, professionally respond to the connection challenges of high voltage, high current, large wire diameter, etc., high-quality craftsmanship, stable quality, enter TXGA [product center] to learn more.

High-voltage wires are divided into copper core wires and damper wires. It should be selected according to the insulation requirements, the size of the passing current and the mechanical strength requirements. For example, the secondary voltage of the automobile ignition system is generally between 10000 and 20000v, and the insulation performance of the wire is required to be high. Therefore, high-voltage-resistant wires (ie, high-voltage wires) must be used. Other lines use low-voltage lines.

During the use of the car, the overhaul of high-voltage wires is very important to the overall safe operation of the car. Maintenance generally includes the following steps.

(1) Visual inspection: Bend the high-voltage wire into an arc shape and visually inspect it. If there are cracks, hardening, or expansion due to oil, all need to be replaced.

(2) Check the resistance of the high-voltage wire: Use a multimeter to measure the high-voltage wire to see if its resistance meets the requirements. If the resistance value exceeds 50kf, this high-pressure wire should be replaced.

(3) Check the resistance of the high-voltage bus: one test lead is connected to the center jack in the distributor cover, and the other test lead is in contact with the ignition coil terminal. If the total resistance of the ignition coil and the high-voltage wire exceeds 25kf, the high-voltage wire should be removed from the ignition coil and measured separately. If the measured resistance value exceeds 15kf, the high-voltage bus needs to be replaced.
