The form of contact between terminals and terminals is generally divided into three categories: point contact, line contact and surface contact.

(1) Leaf spring contacts

(2) Wire spring contacts

The wire spring jack is composed of a plurality of elastic gold-plated or silver-plated metal wires, which are arranged according to the straight busbar of the single-leaf rotary hyperboloid, and form an angle with the inner sleeve straight busbar. After the pin is inserted, the wire spring wraps the pin tightly to form a line contact. The advantages of the wire spring type jack are that the contact resistance is small, the insertion force is soft, the service life is long, and it is resistant to vibration and impact, but the process is complicated, the cost is also high, and the volume is relatively large.

(3) Coil Contact

There are leaf springs in the spring coil contacts, which have more than 40 contact points with the female terminal, which fully guarantees the contact between the terminals. The contact resistance of the reed contact is small, the current carrying capacity is high, and the internal heat is low. Due to the characteristics of the deformation of the reed, it can ensure high contact effectiveness under different working conditions, and has a good degree of high deviation compensation. In addition, the coil contact piece requires less internal space and is easy to assemble. However, the processing technology of the coil contact is difficult and the cost is high, and it is generally suitable for circular terminals.
