Five basic processes of connector stamping

With the increasing market demand for high-precision micro-terminal products, the stamping process has increasingly attracted the attention of connector manufacturers. Among the four core processes of manufacturing enterprises, the technological level of stamping production has a decisive influence on the quality of finished products.

In the connector production process, stamping can be divided into four basic processes.

1. Punching: The punching process for separating copper strips, including punching, blanking, trimming, cutting, etc.

2. Bending: a stamping process in which the material is bent into a certain angle and shape along the bending line.

3. Deep drawing: a stamping process that turns the flat sheet into various open hollow parts, or further changes the shape and size of the hollow parts.

4. Fine-blanking: For products that require high precision in size and surface light quantity, generally the process of meeting the drawing requirements through a fine-blanking die.

5. Local forming: a stamping process that uses various local deformations of different properties to change the shape of the blank or stamping parts, including flanging, bulging, leveling and shaping processes.
