Sockets, also known as power sockets and switch sockets, are electrical devices that provide power interfaces for household appliances. Generally speaking, the socket in life refers only to the socket that brings the power connection. Such as the USB socket, which includes data transmission, will not be called a socket. Although we are not unfamiliar with sockets, when purchasing sockets, we should pay attention to the model specifications of sockets. If the socket model is not selected well, it may bring trouble to the daily use later.
At present, the model of the socket is not clear. We can choose the socket from the direction of appearance, performance parameters, hole spacing, structure, and function. So how should we choose?
First, look at the appearance
The model of some sockets can be judged by appearance, such as three-hole sockets and five-hole sockets, the sockets are different; sockets with and without switches are distinguished by whether there is a switch on the socket panel.
Second, look at the packaging
There will also be a description of the socket parameters on the package, such as the rated current, voltage, and maximum bearable power of the socket.
Third, ask the seller
When buying a socket, directly ask the merchant for the model and specific information of the socket, and the general merchant will answer you.
Fourth, look at the hole distance
There are also some sockets that have different jack pitches and represent different models. For example, the socket and hole width of a 16a socket is larger than that of a 10a socket.
Fifth, look at the structure
The difference between waterproof sockets and non-waterproof sockets can be seen from the structure. Waterproof sockets usually have a protective cover, while non-waterproof sockets do not.
