The structure on both sides of the connector resembles the two corners of a cow, hence it is called a cow horn connector, also known as a hooked cow horn connector. The horn connector, as an internal wiring device, is relatively easy to use. The corresponding Jianniu connector is a cow horn connector without a buckle structure.
TXGA horn connectors come in various specifications, with center to center distances of 1.27mm, 2.0mm, and 2.54mm. Moreover, the diameter of the square needle can be flexibly adjusted according to the different spacing.
The TXGA horn connector is widely used in the electronics field, which also makes it difficult for most equipment assembly personnel to install the connector. To install the horn connector, only the following three points need to be grasped:
1、 Clear insertion direction
When the TXGA horn connector is fully inserted to U=14.2, ensure that it meets the specified 79483MD standard.
2、 Vertical to the insertion direction
If the printed board or fixed board mounted connector adopts a floating installation method, the design of the free and fixed board mounted connectors should reserve at least 1mm of adjustable displacement. It should be noted that for the rigid installation of fixed board connectors, the tolerance requirements for the installation rack are extremely strict.
3、 Control the tilt angle
The design of free and fixed board connectors allows for a certain degree of inclination error. Specifically, the inclination error in the longitudinal direction is ± 4 °, and the inclination error in the transverse direction is also ± 4 °.
