Cold and hot shock testing of connectors is an important way to verify whether products can adapt to industrial grade harsh environments

The THERMAL SHOCK CHAMBER can simulate the instantaneous exposure of materials to alternating environments of extremely high and low temperatures, and quickly detect physical damage or chemical changes caused by thermal expansion and contraction of samples. It is widely used in materials such as metals, plastics, rubber, electronic components, etc., providing key data support for product optimization.

The testing process for industrial grade connector plugs is clearly standardized: the equipment completes 100 cycles of switching within the set minimum/maximum operating temperature range of ± 2 ℃, and the high and low temperature conversion time is controlled within 30 seconds. Repeated temperature changes will cause the materials of various components of the connector to continuously expand and contract, accelerating the friction and break in of the terminal contact surface. Within 5 minutes after the completion of the test, the full performance verification must be completed: the insulation resistance should not be less than 100M Ω, it can withstand 5000V DC and 3500V AC withstand voltage, the protection level should reach IP67, the appearance should have no cracking or deformation, the insertion and extraction force should be less than 100N, and there should be no jamming throughout the entire process. Through this test, it can be confirmed that the connector can withstand the impact of sudden changes in environmental temperature during storage, transportation, and use, and is fully compatible with industrial grade harsh scenarios.
